Not to be contrary, but how can you be glad to have not done something that so many say was one of their best experiences?
It's not for everyone and has it's down sides, but it has some real compelling upsides.
For me, when I started and was the biggest pussy you could have imagined, about traveling outside the country for
P4P, it was perfect.
The first time I walked down from my room into the bar, I was like a kid in a candy shop, but I was also overwhelmed.
My only
P4P experience before that was to pick something out from an adult newspaper or an agency and it was always 1 on 1.
To have 15 girls all looking at me like I was a good steak, was very unnerving to me. I can only imagine how intimidating Classicos or worse, Cristals would have been to me that first day.
If you can believe it, I actually asked Dave to ask the girls to leave me alone.
Blackbeards gave me a quiet place to aclimate myself to my new reality and I'm happy to say I spent quite a few hours in the arms of more than a few chicas of which, very few were less than I would have liked.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Blackbeards for a newbie hobbyist.
Don't get me started on the Jacuzzi. It's incredible and shouldn't be missed. That Jacuzzi has given me more than a few of the best experiences that I've had in the DR.
The breakfast was always fine, the lunches were OK, and I usually went elsewhere for dinner, with my
TLN for the night.
The rooms I consider better than anything I've had in Sosua, but not as good as the Courtyard in SD, of course.
It's way the hell out of the way and the road into Costambar is so absurdly bad, it's the stuff of vehicular war stories. If you don't rent a car, you have to pay the taxi mafia.
The beach is nowhere as interesting or nice as Sosua, but I liked it.
I have no complaints about the service there.
Now before I get accused, I'll say that John wouldn't know me from Adam except if he actually did what I suggested he do to keep the jacuzzi boiler working properly, in which case he might tell you "oh yeah, I remember that guy".
I doubt it, though.
Just my two cents.
