Can't sit outside and talk with chicas, no happy hours allowed, got to keep everything a secret when it comes to mongering and bringing chicas to the hotel. Seems like they don't want it to become too chica friendly much and more of a regular hotel. A

I think this has been covered, but all of the reports on here indicate that this place is discreet, you can come and go with your chicas with no problem, but if you insist on being seen and heard at all times its not for you. I don't think they want you blasting your music in your room, or standing on the balcony having a conversation at the top of your lungs. You are probably right its not for YOU. I had no problems being loud and drunk at the Terra Linda bar, but when you walk past the front desk, its like you have entered your little piece of paradise on fantasy Island.
I think Terra Linda is for the more refined Monger, just my thoughts, I have stayed there and I think its one of the best, and had no problems, but I go to sosua for the Chicas and the fun, not the let everyone know that I am in town. I'm happy with getting a chica going to my room, and having a good time.
The strip is loud enough, for socializing and acting crazy with friends and Chicas.

Um...I'm African American. And I had no problems with them. Neither did any of the half dozen or so other brothers I talked to while staying there. I doubt that any of the problems that your buddies had arose because of their race.

Granted, I don't think that Terra Linda is trying to be another New Garden. It's more geared toward those who want to enjoy a quieter, more relaxing atmosphere. But I brought back chicas at all hours of the day and had no problems.

IDK. Maybe New Garden is a better fit for some.

1st or second choice on either one. What is scary is third choice.El Rancho with safes and a/c that don't work and is loud. Sea Breeze with a security risk with there letter boxes as Safes or Sosua Bay with internet you have to pay for by the minute.

I think I would stay home before the 3rd choice.

Excellent post.....sums this thread up perfectly!

you wanna get "krunk" with the boys and chicas stay at NG! You want relaxed chill lodging stay at TL. ITS CHICA friendly and thats all that really matter.

*Side note: i dont know how Being African American has anything to do with the rules at TL??? Im AA and i think there current rules and climate of things are great! TL just brings more options and variety to Sosua.

    TERRA LINDA RATES

Anyone stay at Terra Linda lately? What rates were you paying?
I was just quoted $69.00 for a queen and $89.00 for a king. I stayed there last March and paid $55.00 which I thought was a little high but, acceptable for the location and quality of the place. I even told them I was an ISOC member. Last March ISOC members recieved a discount.

Not as far as I know it was imaginary lip service. LOL

They would tell you there was but it was same price as other non members were paying.

    Re: TERRA LINDA RATES

    the rate is......

whatever the person at the counter tells you it is.

in an email it might be 69.

at the counter the next day it might be 79

at 6 oclock it might be 59

and tommorrow afternoon it might be 85

show up, cross your fingers and hope for a good rate.

maybe they just roll dice each hour and whatever they roll, thats the rate...

    fuck that place.

    Re: TERRA LINDA RATES

When dealing with Terra Linda make sure you print and document everything down to who you spoke to. They tried to raise the price on me in May, from $55 to $69. Even though they honored my printed email I was ready to take my money elsewhere but New Garden and Rocky's were both booked solid that weekend.

    Re: TERRA LINDA RATES

Same thing happen to me in May that happen to Cixx , I got a quote via email and they tried to raise the rate once I got there, I had printed all the email and the original confirmed price and they honored it, if they didn't I was going somewhere else. Willy ( manager ) seem like a nice guy but I did have some problems while I was there. My a/c went out the second night and they said they would take care of it, It was almost 2 days later and they finally fixed it, I was sleeping in sweat for a night. Then the lock was messed up and the key wouldn't work, so they moved me to another room and tried to charge me for the upgrade, it was a room on the end with one king and just a little bigger. I have to agree with Mr. Hemp, that they quote a price and then it changes once you are there, At least that was my experience. So my opinion concurs with Naptime, FTP (f**k that place). It is a nice place and very well kept. But I will never book there again,
