Spirit aircraft are nothing more than "flying vending machines."

Spirit reminds me a lot of another company in Florida......Winn Dixie Supermarkets.......
Winn Dixie has all these promos.......like paying full inflated price for two of something and getting four things free.....
which is no deal at all cause you are overpaying for the 4 free items including the 2 original items purchased at WD.......
the WD consumer is tricked into thinking they are getting a deal and a half......but they are not

Like I said BD,get there about 11/11:30.Not only will you be pretty sure that you won't be bumped but you also won't have to battle the locals who are trying to bring everything they and their neighbors own back to the states!!

That's the same agent that gave me my miles, she must not like you.

"I have added the requested miles to your FREE SPIRIT account x for reservation x . Please note you have a balance of x miles in your account."

I would reply to her and argue that your friends, who showed you there Free Spirit accounts, have gotten credited the miles recently for flying on miles. I have gone back and forth with them about the problem I had and they were not offering anything, but maybe that caused their decision to credit me the miles. But in Fall 2010, they automatically credited miles on miles in my account, they maybe had a loophole in their system but since updated it, good luck.

I used miles to book 3 trips this year (I think), I never received miles for them. After the first trip, I asked about getting miles. They told me that if I use miles, I don't get miles.

Keep your eyes and ears open.........Spirit Flight Attendants walked a protest line(not a picket line) yesterday because of stalled negotiations.Contract negotiations are said(by attendants)to be on going since 2007.Union asked for Federal Arbitrator to mediate.

I don't know of any airline that gives reward miles for flights that were booked with reward miles. Spirit, being the biggest nickel & dime operation around, would seem to be just about the least likely airline to give something for nothing. I don't know, I never read through their reward program rules, but...

I would tend to believe that they either had a software glitch in their system or their policy was unclear.

I definitely wouldn't make a point of mentioning that they gave them to you before. If miles were awarded to you in error their T&C's probably permit them to deduct those miles from your account.

Man its funny you should mention this. I just noticed that my award leg coming back home was given to me in AA miles for my Cathay Pacific Hong Kong to Chicago flight I think its in error though but its very weird and I won't mention anything at all for sure. I just find it odd that I would get the mile credit plus Cathay Pacific flights booked on AA.com that you PAY for don't even get Mile credit, so i'm really puzzled by this one.

for now. Was the best 50- 100 USD i ever spent if nothing changes.
