I got it also. They're so full of shit their eyes are brown! I think it is a lot less deceptive, and much more customer friendly for the airlines to quote the full price of the ticket, all in. This way people can use the full information when comparing destinations.
A while back I predicted that, as the noose tightens around TFG's neck, both he and the Maga Morons here would post ever more idiotic crap. Right again.

“It was a violent insurrection for the purpose of trying to prevent a peaceful transfer of power after a legitimately certified election from one administration to the next," McConnell told reporters. "That’s what it was."

Spirit can pretty sneaky on taking money from you.........
mi didn't prepay for mi bags till the day before mi flight.......
and there was a $4 charge from Jamaica that started Jan 1st.....
and mi bought mi ticket before January so when mi went to pay for mi bags....
they charged the extra $4 without saying anything when mi paid for the bags........
all in it was $240 R/T with taxes, fees and checked bag down and back........
but at least dem could have said somewhere why dem were going to charge the extra $4.......
but mi should be happy dat mi got such a good price mon........Tampa to Montego Bay R/T
cheapest flight mi have had to Montego Bay since 1984......

We bitch and bitch and bitch and then buy the ticket and pay the extras cause we can't find a cheaper ticket..........even with the extra charges...........

Of course I left out the "I make it rain even with my airline ticket"crowd and the "I got so much money I would hire a private jet rather than fly Spirit"crowd.

Because as the saying goes......"to each his own".

Anyone going on a trip soon don't forget to print out your boarding pass that they sent you in the e-mail confirmation or they charge you an extra $5 for them doing it at the airport

    Just another Spirit trick/hidden-charge.

Spirit is like the Sosua ho who pisses us off when she demands motoconcho fare in the morning after we thought we had agreed upon a fair price for toda la noche the night before. But we have to try to remember that we paid her far less than we would have to pay a puta in almost any other place and that's why we engaged her services. When we are nickled and dimed we have to remember that it's about the bottom line.

Spirit sucks, but yes, it is still the cheapest in the business.

Bring your own fuel is Spirit's future. In fact, it's cheaper overall to buy jet fuel and not to hedge it. Say, in imaginary future, a traveler will pay for a fuel to a supplier and get credits which later may be transferred to any airline of his choice when he takes a flight eliminating fuel surcharges... Am I dreaming? Yea, someone has to store it

I'm confused about this law requiring them to "hide government fees". I still see it broken down right before I pay.

When they advertise they have to show the total price rather than finding out about the taxes and everything later. Sure you will get a breakdown, but the ad will have to disclose everything upfront.

We'll see about that (the latter thing that is...I'm sure you're right about the former). Should be a good game. I hope to make it back to Medellin myself later this year. It's hard for me to get away now. Be sure to report back here! Buena suerte, buen viaje, parce'!

Re: 12/2007 - Spirit Airlines updates and deals

Joe and I just printed boarding passes for the 1st time.
I remember trying to do this before but it wasn't allowed for international flights.
I saw Rovers post that said they will be charging at the check in counter if you get your boarding pass at the airport.
I forget how much he said but whatever it is it will be better spent by me in Medellin!
Process was easy. The only thing I didn't like was you are assigned a seat if you don't pay for one.
It says to "click here if you want to get your seat at the check-in counter, but even when I did that I was assigned a seat.
I do like going to the airport and asking for the closest seat to the front on the aisle so I can boogie the fuck out of there but truth be known.......the few extra minutes it takes doesn't really make that much difference.
Thats why I've been checking a bag rather than carry-on because checked bag is only $3 more each way so you can take a few extra comfort things with you and not worry about stuffing everything in the carry-on.
Then, like I said, the little extra time it takes to get out of the airport is no big deal.
Its not like I'll miss out on a piece of ass because seat 15 aisle got off and out before me!!!!
