    Reporting from SDQ

Arrived yesterday afternoon, and I'm at the Hotel Jaguar. Yesterday was a holiday and real rainy. Haven't seen so much standing water in the streets since the time I was here for a near miss hurricane.

About 1 a.m., I went out for food. I walked down Independencia to 305 and didn't see a single chica in the street. First time, I ever felt uneasy walking around the area at night.

I stopped in to say hi to Ronnie and El Gato, and there was a shitload of hot chicas in 305.

From there, I walked down past Maison Gaitreux to the Malecon and past the obelisk to the food court. Not very crowded for a Friday night. Got tacos and quesadillas from the mexican restaurant there. 160 P for 3 chicken tacos and 140 for a quesadilla. Food was pretty good for the DR.

I walked back up the Malecon to the Jaragua and again didn't see a single chica in the street. When I crossed Independencia again, a 4x police pickup slowly passed by with a couple of cops in the back checking out the street and I heard her a couple chicas inside bitching amd moaning.

I'll report again after tonight but it appears the time they are a'changing.
    Sorry Greydread.
Ah but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now!

    Well.....

Everyone knows what's going on in Sosua. Nothing more than the latest "clean up de jour"

In Santo Domingo, All they're trying to do is clean up the Malecon. The streetwalkers and their riff raff were getting a little ridiculous.

The rains we've been having the last few days haven't helped much either.

All the nightclubs and daytime massage places are still doing pretty good.

Everytime I drive by 305, I'm seeing girls in the streets and in Hnos. Villar with guys.

They are doing the same thing in El Conde. I stayed there for three nights and there were very few "girls" around.

How was the Jaguar? I assume you're talking about the apartahotel and not the casino, right?

What was the pricing like? Close to anything? Would you stay there again?

I was just at the Jaguar two weeks ago and while there is still some construction going on up on the roof, it didn't bother me or interfere with my sleep. Jaguar is my preference although I also like Venezai in that price range. Jaguar is around $55-60 depending on the room. It's a block and one-half from the Jaragua, 2 1/2 blocks from La Coppa/Sol Melia, 3 1/2 blocks from Piano Bar, 4-5 blocks from Girl's House, Sky Bar?, Satin Dolls and 305. One and 1/2 blocks to Lapsus. Lots of eateries and colmados nearby

Thanks for the info. Were the beds american style, or that super-firm Dominican type? Is it fair to say the rooms were nice?

Forgive the newbie questions, I'm contemplating a mid-week stay, and am usually an apartment/nicer hotel or villa (in the beachy areas) kind of guy.

I was there about three weeks ago and it seemed every night the police were driving up and down the malecon arresting chica's. On a few occasions they had cars pulled over and removed the chica's. Don't know whether or not they harassed the guys. In each instance they had their guns drawn so I kept it moving and quite quickly I might add. Very few chica's could be found on the street over the next week. Even the corners where the gasolinera is located a block or two past Maxima Gomez was empty and normally it's packed with chica's.

GBP and Piano Bar are inexpensive answers til 11 pm.

Casas. Do some research here on the board. Most close at 1 a.m. during the week but 305 stays open later.

Late nite (after 1 a.m.) there are chicas in Coppa and later Myntz. But not cheap.

Sorry but that question is too open ended and there are to many contributing factors to answer. Research the board and you'll get some answers. After that, it's an adventure. Everyone has a different experience.

OK. Let`s say it in a different way. What are the going rates in Piano Bar?

If an unaware guy overpays it will hurt everybody. So, do not be shy to share the real deals!!

Dude, you need to get off your rear end and read....

GBP one girl is 1000 pesos, 2 girls - 1500 pesos

    R & R massage is 1000 pesos

Piano Bar 56 is same prices as GBP

None of those places will try to overcharge you.. that is their rates.

I did not find where to read. Thank you for info!

Those quotes are for one hour only? Of for one coming? Or else?

How to find GBP and Piano Bar 56? Or where to look for locations with my rear end?

R&R - massage only? No completo?

    Re: Reporting from SDQ

The rates are for 1 hour or 1 load you can squeeze a few minutes extra without being rushed if you are not a quick load dropper. Of the two GBP has more girls to choose from Piano Bar normally has 3-5 available at any given time as opposed to GBP who has 10-12 available at any given time. Prices, time and load dropping are exactly the same in both spots as it is run by the same management.
