Santo Domingo Fire Chief Oscar Guillermo Garcia is warning the public about the dangers of selling propane gas alongside gasoline and diesel in gas stations. According to Garcia, there is an increased danger of explosions and fires at the gas stations. The fire chief said that the smallest leak of propane fuel, a highly flammable substance, could spark off an explosion. He added the fact that many young people frequent gas stations with convenience stores increases the possibility of fatalities if something were to go wrong.
