This park is 212 square miles and is located in the extreme northwest part of the country, partially bordering Haiti. Locate in one of the driest regions in the country, the area receives only 60mm rain in a year and has an average tempeture of 83 degrees Fahrenheit.
It contains coastal lagoons, mangrove coves, the Siete Hermanos Keys and vast marine areas. Ten species of reptiles inhabit the park, including the American crocodile.
