Teachers march

Yesterday's march by the Dominican Teachers Association (ADP) went ahead as planned. The ADP held simultaneous marches throughout the country heading towards the Ministry of Education or the Regional offices. The goal of the protest was to press the government to assign 4% of the GDP to its education budget for the next 20 years. Hoy reports that teachers held up signs and chanted slogans during the march that began at 10am.
