We stopped by CATS last night and had a couple drinks, saw some old friends and made some new ones. This is a tiny little bar with a big future. It was started up by a friend from St. Maarten and she's only had it going since last Fall. It's a great little place to hook up and a change from the too well travelled "hustle, bump and grind" scene at the casas.
The place is located on Ave. Gustavo Mejia Ricarte in a small mini mall named "Plaza Uno". It's on the second level, above ristorante "La Lasagne" (where you can get a decent lasagne bolognese for $185 RD.

There's a little bar, a little seating area and a cute little dance stage where the Chicas (usually 5-6 from a rotation of 30 or so) will step up and entertain on request. Bring 20 and 50 peso notes for the thong.

Many of these Chicas are in rotation for the 90 day "waitress" duty in St. Maarten and use this venue as a training ground so be prepared for an enthusiastic welcome.
Some of the Chicas:

This place is in a far less shady part of town from most of the casas we frequent in Santo Domingo and there are a many upscale restaraunts and shopping centers in the area as well. The owner ("Gata") is very accommodating and will be more than happy to arrange private parties stocked with Chicas to order. She's well networked and speaks excellent Jamerican. I'll see if I can find the number to add to this after my siesta....it's going to be another long night!
