Sting opened his concert at 8:55 last night at Altos de Chavon with the sound of The Police classic "Message in a bottle" during his first performance in the DR. The amphitheater was filled to capacity by fans who enjoyed every minute of Sting's "Broken Music Tour", according to a review in El Caribe. The grand finale at 10:25 took everyone by surprise when Dominican musicians Juan Luis Guerra and Felle Vega went onstage to accompany the rock star on guitar and drums.
