You will not NEED to purchase anything additional to power up your charger just as uncle226 told you. However, if you are among the legion of people who have an expensive cell phone (iphone, blackberry etc.) or mp3 players, cameras, laptops etc. you may want to purchase a travel surge protector.

I have the monster 4 outlet power strip which is compact and inexpensive. I don't take an expensive phone with me, but I used it for my portable mp3/satellite radio and my DR phone and personal cell phone.
