Casa Valeria
Any input appreciated.
Recommended to me by non-monger.
Just wanted to confirm this place is chica friendly?
Any special information I need to know about dealing with security guards late night / after hours?
Lockboxes in the rooms?
Thanks!!
they are girl friendly...not sure if there is a chica fee though? they have free breakfast in the morning...
its right next to the new garden, i like to consider this place a nice alternative if NG is booked solid.

It's chica friendly but it's also a family hotel. They prefer the guest be low key. It's now under new management. Do a search here!!

That's a deal killer...I like to take a dip with a chica at 3am after coming back from the clubs. Is there a night security guard that enforces that?

Let's not get too crazy here. This Hotel is just a place to crash. Very tiny rooms and no activity. It works for me when i need one night to fuck and sleep........

If you ask me, its an overpriced empty hotel. You need a family to be a family hotel!
and u cant really knock that at all, especially when you know the rules from jump.

Their Website says $25 single and $30 double...is that not current?
I never stayed there but did get a tour from the owner once, everything was very clean and everybody seemed really friendly.
It seemed like a nice quiet place to stay, close to the strip.

It says $45/$50 and this changes according to the season & length of stay, it is a mellow place which allows guests.

Hmmm....a family hotel in Sosua? Near New Garden??? Tiny rooms...?? A tad pretentious if you ask me....

Ok, that makes sense...I had an old website of theirs saved in my favorites, and it shows the old pricing.
I won't post the link cause there are all kinds of pop-ups and warnings when I go into it.

I just spent five nights at Casa Valeria. Had made a reservation for a room but, after the first night, asked for one of the two studios they have available.
The rooms are just too tiny, cramped, and dark. The studio was much more spacious and is certainly adequate and recommended.
As I would have had to relocate to a single room today for the reminder of my stay (somebody had made an advanced reservation for the studio), I decided to move to Hotel Seabreeze just down the street on Calle Dr Rosen. See my post in that thread.
All in all, Casa Valeria is recommended if (i) you can stay in the studios, not rooms, (ii) enjoy a less obvious mongering environment. They certainly are chica friendly but you need to follow their rules as described previously.
