A Dominican band has just had a major music break. Masrhon was chosen to be part of the soundtrack for the World Soccer Cup Germany 2006 and be part of the official videogame of the championship. They credit the band's representative Pedro Guzman for their achievement.

The group is made up by: Alyosha M, producer, vocals; Jay Martinez, producer, vocals; Adolfo Guillen, vocals, Cyrille Daudel, vocals; C.J. Baez, guitars, LuiGu Arambilet, bass, Alfredo Ricart, drums, and Jose Brea, live sampling and keyboards.

Their track Sobremesa was chosen. Sobremesa (After Eating) is part of the 9-song CD Mucha Nada (Lots of Nothing), a Sony Music Publishing release. The CD is a mix of styles - jazz, rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. Moncion Alfonso, of the PR agency Relaciones Publicas Impulso, explained that the lyrics present the way Dominicans live.

The FIFA World Cup 2006 videogame will be available for Playstation 2, Game Cube, DS and GBA of Nintendo; Xbox of Microsoft, and PCs and cell phones.

Others in the soundtrack are Depeche Mode, Fisherspooner and Sergio Mendes.
