Organization of American States (OAS) Secretary General Insulza has said that he is optimistic about the DR's May 16 midterm elections and guaranteed the presence of an OAS mission during the elections. According to a report in Diario Libre, Isulza spoke to Foreign Relations Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso yesterday in Washington. Insulza trusts that the presence of the OAS mission in the DR will play the role expected by several sectors of Dominican society. Morales traveled to Washington to take part in a discussion about the migratory reform being debated by the US Congress.
