A Penn, Schoen & Berland poll published in El Caribe listed former Vice President Milagros Ortiz Bosch with 35% voter preference, followed by First Lady Margarita Cedeno de Fernandez with 19%. Other possible women candidates: Cristina Lizardo, Rafaela Alburquerque, Yadira Morel, Virtudes Alvarez, Alexandra Izquierdo, Alejandrina German, Nuria Piera, Minou Tavarez Mirabal, Milagros German, Karina Aristy, Peggy Cabral, and Elena Viyella de Paliza all received less than 3% in regards to popularity to be considered for a Presidential candidacy. Of the list, only Milagros Ortiz Bosch has bid for the Presidential candidacy. Poll results show that 52% of women favor a woman reaching the Presidency, while only 38% of men feel it would be convenient.
