No he was deported last trip but I paid about 2,000 pesos to make sure he and his three kids were fed for his last three days in DR.

Haiti of course, I checked with him, he said he had expired papers and I took care of the food part for him. I take care of the JDR company people.

Same experience here with Jesus about a year ago....
Plus, my last trip he didn't show up at the airport. Granted, there was a hurricane, but had this been my first trip I never would have found the Palace.....

Like anything else in the country, you have to know what something costs.
Then you have to establish the price before services are rendered. The price of a cab is on a 6 foot X 6 foot sign right outside the doors of the airport. It's $15 period per carload! If you are adventurous to get on a plane to a third world country, get a fucking map off of the internet to the palace.
Even if you are lurking, all this has been said before and its your own fault.

So if I arrive at the airport and two other guys that I dont know arrive and he takes us all back to different hotels stops off to let me change money then helps me in with my bags and waits till i get my room at one ocean... then charges me $10 and the other guys $15... am i really getting ripped off....?

I think they charge what they can get away with.. gua-gua charges you only RD$20 from POPairport to Sosua (but you gotta get outside the gat by yourself)

But when the first one does...BANG!!!!...they all do.
A classic example is airline fares. When one goes up, they all do.
I still say that a good portion of the reason for higher prices is the inflationary pressures the whole country has been experiencing. Even within a given month.

There was a tax recently established on alcohol (18%) and tobacco (22%).
My cheap drinking spots all went up 10 pesos on grandes. SuperSuper raised their price for a carton of smoke by 90 pesos.

If you are with 2 or 3 buddies and he pulls that crap, then it is wrong.
If you got the better price and extra service, then you are a cheap fuck for not paying him the FULL $15.
It's all how you perceive his services.
A regular cab from the airport would not hang out with you and make an extra stop for $15. I just would not stand for being ripped off with friends.
Strangers paying extra, and I pay less.......well! You did better! It's all good.

Jesus was there to pick us all up...these other guys must have made reservations for him to be there because they knew about the palace and like me they didnt get a room there because John was booked.... John set up my pickup with Jesus cause i didnt have his # back then...

no way is it 40 pesos for a small beer in a disco in Sosua... maybe on the beach but not in a disco... i think Latino is 70 and Classico 90... Voodoo Lounge is 100 i believe.... that means its about 3 bucks for a beer... you have got to be kiddin me!!!

did that in my teens... remember walking into town with a large bottle of OJ and Vodka mix or Ron y coke... with your friends.. gettin juiced up.. prior to the party.. shooting the shit.. arriving at the party buzzed up.. easy to talk to the girls.. wanna have a sip.. kiss me first.. they all loved that shit and played along..

One good thing about Voodoo Lounge: you can take your girl there if you don't want your other girl to know it.

This is very true... I had this problem 2 weeks ago... I had two notaputas within a 5 or 6 block radius and to avoid one was pretty hard.... I went to Playa Dorado one night and Amber Coast casino in cabarette the other night to avoid the other....
P.S. Alfredo comes to my door with one of them one morning at the palace.... Luckily my friend answers the door and he is like hold on.... He tells me my notaputa is at the door while i have the other in my bed... i told him to tell her i was sick from the food and ill call her later.... I almost killed Alfredo (Gordo) for that and told John about it... Gordo claims she rushed up and he said to wait but she didnt listen... i think its bullshit...

This last trip I had a notaputa girl (for me at least, does do tricks with others) in my room while I get a phone call from another notaputa girl ( a real one, possibly) to come meet her parents in La Union. Since I do like this one and really want to have sex with her, I have to make up some stupid story to the girl in my room why I suddenly have to leave for a while. While going there on a motoconcho I then had a conversation on the phone with my somewhat novia in Bonao as to what I was doing......
This stuff can become a logistical nightmare......:-)
When I got back to the hotel the other girl was still there watching tv, even though Soronji told me she had left already.....

I always try to keep them in different towns/barrio's and tell them I'm busy with diving or whatever so don't have much time for them..
I use my own transport so that keeps it easier but still hard.. they smell pussy on you..
I also tell them I don't care what they think.. ojos que no viene corazon que no siente so what the fuck are they talking about.. if that doesn't work I reverse the tactic.. if you're so distrustfull you'll probably have some skeletons to hide.. what are you doing when you're not with me?
