Monsignor Agripino Nunez Collado, who coordinates the National Dialogue and was the instigator of the Civility Pact that was signed on Monday, has asked PRSC party leaders to provide proof that President Leonel Fernandez had violated the pact. Nunez Collado reacted in this way when PRSC secretary general, Victor Gomez Casanova declared that the Pact had been broken by the President's "double standards". Gomez Casanova said that his party is willing to prove that the ruling PLD party is "buying PRD and PRSC party members." PRD party president Orlando Jorge Mera said that his party would establish its position on the matter tomorrow. Gomez Casanova met with the Monsignor for several hours, and warned that the PRD-PRSC Grand National Alliance (GANA) would not sit still "in the face of these attacks that border on indecent politics on the part of President Fernandez." The young politician said that the President's actions "show a lack of respect" for the prelate who attempted to get the political parties to behave themselves during the last week of the campaign.
