Hey guys

I went to Pate Palo for lunch. It is a European (I do not know which country in Europe) restaurant.

This restaurant (along with a few other nice European restaurants) are located along the Zona Colonial area. It is a very romantic area (especially at night).

The food was excellent. But the waiter was a lazy bitch.

Looks like your best place yet!

I think French/Italian/Caribbean fusion would be a good description. I see a lot of items on the menu we served at the West Indies Trading Company, at the Hilton where I started my apprenticeship at in D.C.

Ever find anything like Kesha Jena (sp) in the DR? A barbados dish of braised beef with vegetables, finished with coconut cream (coco lopaz) and dark rum and put in an oven proof dish, topped with cheese and a split banana (or a ripe plantain dusted in brown sugar) then browned under a broiler. I used to call it Barbados shepards pie, as the origional recipie used goat.

Pate Palo....I ate there last year...I called it Mediteranian cusine...

It ain't for the beans n' rice, gimmie cheap food minded. Dinner for five of us was $200USD plus the tip...I thought is was outstanding...although it was the holidays and crowded, so there was a little drinking time between ordering and delivery to our table.

By far one of the better places I've eaten at along that strip right there. Cheeno's right....it's a great place to take a date at night.
