Look at myself, I took a few month off this site, I came back to find a new board. HEY, thats great, something that works. But because it has features, you have to use them all. I can't find or use a damn thing here. I have been looking for the Thialand board for a week now. I just yesterday found a button at the top of the screen that brings you there.... I hunted and hunted.

Simple is good!!!!! Overload is bad!!!! You guys are way past overload. Sure it looks simple to you guys, the ones that set it up. What about the new guy? He doesn't have a clue. Hell I don't have a clue and I have an idea of the mentality here.

Make a decission, either you want more people here or you want the same people shooting the shit all the time. You can't have both. Granted, there are a few that will have the desire to keep reading and MAYBE figure it out. I can't figure it out so god bless the new-bie

I still have no idea how to navigate this forum....I realise some people are trying to tell me how to do it, but it makes no sense.. Way too many moves. Like I said earlier. Lets get back to basics.

ED has a point. I said a similar thing recently in the thread on the new VB Image Host (which is great). I hope my remarks did not come across as a criticism, because I think DT and JDR are doing a superb job with this board, but more as a suggestion for where our best energies should be directed for the time being:

The main page should have the countries listed. Having to find the Forum Navigation button to go there is impossible for newbie to find.

I think for now the only problem is that it is not clear to all users that there are now 3 pages to this site. I to, for a while wondered where the other forums were. The "forum navigation" on the tool bar is not a gimme. Most newbies will not know that there are 2 more pages. i agree with jommy you have to log on everyday and shoot the breeze but i must agree also if you go on vacation or go to dr you really have a lot of catching up to do and its is mind blowing how much you miss when your away for a week - you have to pick and choose the post to read - (which is usually all of them because you dont want to miss out)but its def hard to come after a trip and play catch up lol

Some members come here to shoot the breeze and keep in touch with their brothers in arms, others (like me) are more orientated towards actual mongering information and come here mostly to keep track of what’s going on in the DR and other countries, as well as exchanging ideas on different subjects of general interest for mongers (e.g. health, hunting techniques, hookers’ scams, WU suckers, emerging destinations, etc).

All of us benefit from the exchange of mongering intelligence and ideas, and even have some fun in the process.

I think the navigation of the forum is self-explanatory, any newbie could find his way around easily with a bit of work and dedication, but obviously they will have to make a minimum effort – this forum has been designed to have all info classified correctly in their respective sections, not to spoonfeed lazy newbies.
