Civic movement Participacion Ciudadana has announced that it will carry out a quick vote count for Mayors and Senators in Santo Domingo city and Santiago. Both cities were chosen because they are notorious for delayed vote counts, given the required double validation by political parties. Sometimes party delegates are late signing the vote certificates and delay the process. The quick vote count is determined based on a scientific sample of 5% of voters. The results will be provided to the Central Electoral Board and to the former INTEC university rector, who will represent civil society.
