The PRD / PRSD alliance have accepted their defeat in the National District, recognizing Roberto Salcedo and Reynaldo Pared Perez as winners for the positions of mayor and senator, according to a report by Hoy newspaper. However, they are claiming that the government used public funds, the Armed Forces and "bought" votes to favor the ruling party's candidates. During a press conference, the alliance parties said they would make a revision in every municipality and province to find out what happened because "there were interruptions in many voting centers by armed military personnel under civilian orders which could have transferred votes from the alliance to the PLD".
