help how do i turn news off

i went into DT's thread for a new feature and while in there started to put my count down timer on and now i am getting all the news from other sites when i click on new posts or todays posts.

i had them set for not showing before.

i have spent the last 1/2 hour going into my user cp as well as other areas trying to turn them off but to no avail.

how do i reset my screen?

Click on User CP and go to "Edit Options"

Scroll to bottom of the page and you'll see 'Exclude Forums from "Get New Posts"'

You'll see a list of all the forums available to you on the site.

Look for "News Feeds from other Sites".

Click on that and then highlight all the sub-categories and then click Save Changes. That should do it.

awesome that worked perfect. i had been there a dozen times but only highlited the header not all the sub sections. worked perfect. i just lost three pages of news from todays posts
