The National Meteorological Office (ONAMET) is watching a slowly developing low-pressure system developing near the DR. The storm is moving east-southeast, bringing light rain to the northeast of the country, including Montecristi, Puerto Plata, Dajabon, Elias Pina, Valverde and Santiago Rodriguez. The eye of the storm is located over the Virgin Islands. Light winds are also expected.
