United States President George W. Bush will not be attending the summit of Heads of State that will take place in the Dominican Republic at the beginning of June. He had been invited by the Dominican government, according to a report by Diario Libre, which did not receive details about the reasons why the visit will not take place. On 2 and 3 June, the DR will host the Summit of Heads of State of Central America, Belize and the Dominican Republic, which are members of the Central American Integration System (SICA) in Casa de Campo, La Romana. The participants will be discussing solutions to energy problems.
