The Central Electoral Board (JCE) has issued a 24-hour deadline for 14 Municipal Boards to issue the final bulletin of the 16 May midterm elections in their jurisdiction, in response to pressure from business sectors, the Catholic Church, civil society and the PLD, as reported by Listin Diario. The deadline was set for today at 1pm and applies to the municipal boards of Santo Domingo East, Santiago, Santo Domingo North, Santo Domingo West, San Pedro de Macoris, Bani, Las Matas de Farfan, Luperon, Boca Chica, Jimani, Oviedo, San Cristobal, and Los Alcarrizos, where 1,147 voting stations out of a total 3,898 have yet to complete their counts.
