[DR1] Dominican flag in space mission

A Dominican flag is going to space for the first time in history on the next NASA space mission. This responds to an initiative by US Congressman Jose Serrano, as reported by El Diario/La Prensa, and quoted by El Caribe. The lawmaker said that sending a flag on board the spaceship was a "humble albeit dramatic way to pay homage to the Dominican Republic". Serrano is of Puerto Rican origin. He explained that the Dominican flag will travel to space on NASA's next mission programmed for July and when it returns it will be presented together with the Puerto Rican flag - which went on a previous mission - at a special ceremony at Hostos Community College in New York City, where they will be placed on permanent exhibition.
