[DR1] Pepe Goico will go on trial

The District Attorney for Santo Domingo, Jose Manuel Hernandez, told reporters yesterday that he was confident that there was enough evidence against the former army colonel and the front man for the Mejia re-election campaign, Pedro Julio "Pepe" Goico Guerrero, to go to trial. Hernandez said that he was confident that Goico, currently in jail at the La Victoria Prison, would be sent to trial by the Magistrate for the Fifth Court of Instruction, Natividad de los Santos, who is responsible for reviewing the evidence in the case.
