As of noon on 24 May, Bulletin #17 was the latest issued by the Central Electoral Board with the results of the congressional and municipal election held on 16 May 2006. According to this bulletin, the PLD has won 22 senate seats and the Pink Alliance 10.
Bulletin 17 shows that it is most likely that the PLD will have won 67 of the 151 municipalities in the country, while the PRD will have won 52 and the PRSC 28. The PPC will have the mayor in La Descubierta, Independencia province, while the PRI won the mayor seats in Nagua and Villa Vasquez, and the PRSD won a city government in Guaymate.
