Construction material costs have skyrocketed now that election day has come and gone. The cement factories have announced 76% increases in the price of cement, and the price of metal rods has gone up by 25%. Portland cement increased in price from RD$85 to RD$150 the bag, and metal rods were up from RD$1,400 to RD$1,750, as reported in Listin Diario.
