The general administrator of the Dominican Corporation of State-Owned Electric Companies (CDEEE), Radhames Segura, is guaranteeing that there will not be an increase in electricity rates, according to the Presidential Press Department. The official stated that the government expects to maintain the present electricity rates and power supply indefinitely. He made this announcement after a meeting between the President and representatives of the energy sector at the Presidential Palace yesterday. The government controls two thirds of the power distribution in the country.
