Got back from Palace 10/31 from a great week stay. Luca is back and John is bustin balls to clean the place up. New fire pit next to driveway so no more over flowwing barrels out front. The pool was being drained when i left but looked ok when i was there. Chicas seem to not be going topless at pool any more. Or even swimming. Lets be less eager and tell chicas to show their shit . They all move their clothing from empty room to empty room so swim thongs are always close by. Soronji is still the leader at the 1000dr bbbjcim. Just feed her hot dogs, cabbage, some sort of 0nion. mustard on a roll ( total cost - 200dr ) and after she brushes her teeth ( Bring extra tooth brushes and tell chicas to use ) she will give much better service. The girl is a WORKER. Give John a few more months and all the valid claims Jayman made should be some what rectified. I love that word RECTIFIED. Sounds like an advertisement for La Passion. All chicas need ID at Palace now. No ands, ifs or buts. Good Policy cause John has to cover his ass since that Toronto Sun 6 part series on Sosua. It makes us mongers look like diddlers but story is way off of the real monger life style. The new bartender ( Keeper of the chicas ) at the Palace is a real sweet heart. Very non - punta. She likes salami, soda crackers, mustard. and some kind or malta chocolata milk drink shit. Feed the chicas and they like. But do no spend 130dr each to buy them chicken. Across from La Passion is the store. 127DR got me enough food to feed 5 chicas and myself. Warning, if you have weak stomack do not eat salami. No perservatives in DR Salami. Oh shit back to Palace. My Spanish really sucks. I did some fuck ups ( whore stole my digital camera ) Palace John has connections and the knowledge for any one who needs a good 1st or 2nd DR experience. REMEMBER, the Palace is a hotel/ whore house in a 3rd world nation. Yell out your window or balcony and for $46.86 you can have atleast an hour/ maybe 2 if on cialis with a chica that knows how to work it. GOD BLESS THE DR !!!!!!!!!! gdogg, go to the supper market near the El Batey beach entrance. All the Europeans go there and they have non DR lunch meat. Better bread and a good selection of US and South American canned food. Would stop in every day coming home from beach. I brought down in an insulated cooler bag 2 packs of Fenway Franks ( frozen to use as ice packs ) 2 packs baloney, 2 sirlion steaks, 2 packs kraft cheese and a can of frozen consentrated oj. In my suit case i had cashews ( expensive in DR ) 3 cans of Campbells clam chowder, peanut butter and jelly, tuna ( small bags of mayo are cheap there ) pringles and other assorted snacks. I only had the french toast at Rocky's every morning. Only ate at Lou's Shark bar and at Jimmy's girls house 1 night, did my own cooking, ate alot of rice and only used gallons of bottled water. Drank myself into a stuper and nothing 3 imodium ad the whole week did not cure. Go food shopping with Soronji, the girl knows her food and she cooks. The only problem is fucking Gina shows up, and then all of a sudden 5 chicas are in my kitchen. I had to fight to get my share of hot dogs. When i was there a few weeks ago i looked behind the bar in the cabinet that is usually locked and there were atleast 5 dictionaries. Everyone gives them to girls working Palace and they just leave them. Most do not want to have to put any effort into learning more english unless it has to deal with money. Better off going downtown Sosua and giving dictionaries to kids shining shoes. This way thet can bug you in english.

Being from Boston i can't pronounce r's and they seem to be a big part of the spanish language. Some of the girls looked at the cards and shrugged i dunno. Friends of chicas had to translate for them. My favorite card was " it's 3am and still many girls here at the bar. 1000dr all night. Take it or leave it " It worked twice.

It broke alot of barriers. Just make sure you use a good translation site or even better have latino friends to tutor you with cheat cards. My tutor is a cute little chica from Italy that lived in Spain. She is 23, teases the hell out of me and knows why i go to the DR. She did fuck with one of my cards and instead of saying " do you take it in the ass with lubricant " she put down " I take it in the ass with lubricant " . After that i doubled checked at a translation site all the cards she wrote for me.

I always thought Palace management must be getting a cut. But I never heard it on the boards here. I guess it is pretty obvious. US AMP's work the same way.

I disagree here... I dont think she makes any cuts... i think she only gets paid what John gives her... I also never seen her collect any money from the chicas... and she doesnt speak fuckin english... as for the bottles behind the bar... those are from guys leaving their leftovers with John... True she may be honest and definitely not a puta but she still a bitch. She should try being a little nicer to the customers and her tips would be better to help with school or whatever else.
She does watch the whores when no one else is around. My friend and I were going to fuck Elizabie (her irritating ass) and Yahaira. It was a slow day no mongers staying in the Palace. We negotiated 1000 pesos each and were planning to use a Palace room for a quickie sense no one was staying in them. The girls got into an argument with the bartender because she wanted to charge full price for the room and I guess wanted to charge the girls full price for the trick.

True she may be honest and definitely not a puta but she still a bitch. She should try being a little nicer to the customers and her tips would be better to help with school or whatever else.
She does watch the whores when no one else is around. My friend and I were going to fuck Elizabie (her irritating ass) and Yahaira. It was a slow day no mongers staying in the Palace. We negotiated 1000 pesos each and were planning to use a Palace room for a quickie sense no one was staying in them. The girls got into an argument with the bartender because she wanted to charge full price for the room and I guess wanted to charge the girls full price for the trick.
I guess if Yose screwed me over, I'd be pissed too. I just never had any unpleasant experiences with her. And Elizabie is annoying. She followed me most of the way from the Europa to the Palace trying to get a date. This was AFTER I said no. I probably would have tagged her if I had the time though. Although annoying, she is FINE!!

Too all the people who think the bartender is a bitch.One thing for sure is she aiunt no puta.I have known her for years.She has worked at the shark bar and can be trusted with money and not be watched like a regular dominican.I am sure that is why john keeps her around.It is tough trust poeple down there.She worked for me and lou at the shark bar but needed differnet hrs to go to school.She might have an attiude sometimes but dont all dominicans.I know she dont take money from john or did she from the shark bar.She is trying to make it by going to school and geting an education.She does speak some english and at least she makes and efffort in trying,un**** the rest of the dumb broads.JOhn keeps that bar open to make his clients happy.He aint into making money on the bar.THE BAR IS OPEN to make HIS clients HAPPY.As faras making a wage as a bartender.It is just like the states.The live off the tips just like home.So give the chick a break once in awhile.She is only trying to make it without selling her ass. I did not have problems with her. At the same time, she never said a word and when I was checking out she was very rude in reminding me I had an outstanding bill of 200 pesos.
Like I was going to run out of a bill of 5 bucks.......so yeah, a more social goodlooking bartender would be appreciated.

You would be very surprised my friend how much influence Jimmy and I and a few others have on business' like this in the DR... If he feels this girl will hurt his business she is as good as gone... I spoke to him before 2 trips ago... i asked why she was such a bitch... he said he didnt know people felt that way.... Lets see how she acts when i get back in a week...

Drunko and Jay didn't just speak about the problems......they straight shitted on the Palace. That post was so hardcore it hurt my feelings but it did get results.
Having just been at the Palace it is looking good. So in this case the ends does justify the means.

That being said all of the comments made by senior board members were based on interactions with this chica prior to this unfortunate tragedy.
Now if you had said to me "Sam I know that you were hanging at the Palace 2 weeks ago and she seemed rude and aloof but that was because she just had some serious family issues to deal with"...
Then I am sure everyone on the board would reassess their opinions. However she was smiling when she felt like it and bitchy to customers when she felt like it.
Suffice it to say that she is a typical woman and leave it at that.
Stop defending her like you are a Knight of the Round Table...it isn't going to change my first impression of her and I doubt that it will reverse any of the other negative experiences that were had by other board members.
Let it go man.

In referrence to some of my last posts. Some of my infomation might be a bit off. I only wrote on what some chicas told me and my observations. In the future i will not flame bartender, she does go to school and is trying. She was nice to me when i fed her and really only ignored me and did not bitch at me. The end of that. Money exchange, bartender could be holding cash for girls ( most have no pockets ). The only thing i know for a fact is i don't know anything for a fact. Only gossip and speculation. I can admit when i am wrong and some portions of my last few posts here may be off. I apologize for any wrong information or accusations.

$35-40 a nite in Sosua? WTF does one expect?
The Palace is a fine place to stay. Been there with no problems at all.
There's no excuse for blatant rudeness, but there are personality clashes, too.

The Palace is the best bang for the buck in Sosua. No hastles from management, only help. Best information from fellow mongers to newbies. And the only girls i should be caring about are the ones i want in my room. Anyone in Sosua this week i am very jealous. I just had to shovel 6 inches of snow.
