New vBulletin Changes - Part1

Guys,

There are a lot of changes in the new software over the next few days I will be adding thread to this section to inform you of most of them before the changes.

We are going to be losing some "features" but the gain is much better.

Loses:
World Map http://news.insearchofchicas.org/forum/worldmap.php
VB Image Host (yes sounds horrible but there is an alternative)

Gain:
I will start with the first gain, well actually two gains:

Albums! People will be able to create their own albums to store their pictures. After uploading they will be see the IMG tag to insert the pic into a post. It's VBImagehost intergrated within vBulletin. The biggest issue I have is converting the exisiting pics to album pics...

Social Groups! You don't want to post all your pictures into a thread? Then create a Social Group, invite only the people you want, and share your pics with them! There will be several Public Social Groups for existing pics also.

May I add for those who hate the compression. With the new server and of course MUCH larger hard drive, there will be no more compression. Though the file size will still be limited, sorry no 10MB 12megapixel 3200X2400 pics! But a 1600X1200 2MB pic will be cool.

My post box is full every day with fans demanding exactly that. :rolleyes:

In that connection, do we get just one Social Group each, or can we create more than one? For example I might want to show some guys only clothed chicas, others nude chicas, and others still "porn" shots.

The number of Social Groups is endless, but I will be restricting starting new groups to higher level board members or just Irishmen.

My granny was Irish so I should get at least 25% of a Social Group.

Of course I am also higher level but I am not relying on that. Jimmy is like a mad bull these days. He has already gored 3some to death and I am sure I irritate him more than 3some. (I would be very disappointed if I didn't).
