I bet everyone reads this thread...

Pictures will be stored in albums, so lets start with albums. First you need to get to your albums, they are controlled through your User Control Panel "UserCP" on the menu.

http://news.insearchofchicas.org/forum/imagehosting/3531493a01b2a931d.jpg

You will see a list of your albums and the ability to add an album.

http://news.insearchofchicas.org/forum/imagehosting/3531493a01b2c5fed.jpg

When adding an album, if it contains nude pics ALWAYS make it private! We don't need kids sneaking in here and seeing you banging some chica in the ass! Pick a name for the album and a description. With the amount of pics Jimmy uploads his albums are probably going to be named "Medellin 11/25/08 Morning", "Medellin 11/25/08 Afternoon", "Medellin 11/25/08 Evening", etc.

There will be a limit of the number of pictures you can have in one album but just to make things organized.

After you make an album, you can start uploading pictures. Click any of the 3 links that say Upload Pics.

If you already have pictures in your album it will look slightly different with small thumbs.

You are then brought to a screen with 3 upload links (sorry only 3 at a time).

After the picture(s) upload you are shown a description box that defaults to the filename. You also have the option of making one of the pictures your Album cover.

If you click on one of the thumbs you are presented with the following screen that provides some options for you and the IMG code. NOTE: The IMG code will work no matter what you set your album to, public or private.

Also if it is not your album it also has a comment screen for people authorized to view your album. (But you said to make them all private...wait)

Now of course you are going to post your pics in threads/posts but maybe you want to share some of them with friends.

You make Social Groups! Now Social Groups can be Public, Moderated, or Invite Only.

Public Social Groups are not allowed unless they contain only non-nude pictures or are made by an admin/moderator! Anyone can join a Public Social Group, I do mean anyone!

Moderated Social Groups mean anyone can join but they can't be active in it until the Founder of the group (or admin/moderator) approves them. The majority of groups will be this way.

Invite Only Social Groups are exactly what they sound like. You got drunk in Thailand and picked up a ladyboy by mistake, well now you can share it with your closest friends in private.

Now multiple albums can be added to a Social Group, so let's say Jimmy make a Medellin Casa Social Group and member1234 goes down there and takes some pics too, He can join the Group and add his album too. Again Social Groups are another chance at organizing our pictures!

Also you can chat (not live) in a Social Group.

Now of course as groups get added the following screen will not be blank, and the search box will come in handy, but the following in the Social Group list.

Notice the "Create a group" link.

When you go to create a group there is a very important checkbox. Make sure you check it! "Users must join to view content"

If you don't check that box people can browse moderated Social Groups and view pics without joining, I call it a security loophole, but vBulletin didn't write this software for adult boards only.

Again a Name, Description, and a drop down box for type.

I have a question.

How do we move the pix we've already uploaded into these albums once we create them? I've created a couple albums and have no idea how to fill them with previous uploads. Old dogs hate new tricks. :(

Yoiu would just use the albums for new pics. The exisiting pics in VBImageHost are still there.

As for continuing to use VBImageHost instead of Albums, as they say in Thailand "Up to you".
