Twenty-nine people are being accused by the Attorney General's department of involvement in a case of fraudulent issue of official passports to ineligible individuals to get visas and travel abroad. The indictment affects the former Technical Undersecretary of the Dominican Municipal League, Amaurys Guzman, the Deputy Director of Migration, Victor Soto Perez, eight former Civil State officials, eleven council members and another eight people, among them four false council members. The indictment was presented to the Instruction Coordination Judge of the National District, Rosalba Garib Holguin, by Assistant Attorney Generals Frank Soto, Bolivar Sanchez and Assistant District Attorney, Luis Alberto Gonzalez, according to a report by Diario Libre. In addition to Guzman and Soto, those affected are Angel Eliecer Ramirez, Luis Emilio Caraballo Vilchez, Alfredo Amaurys Pereyra Ramirez, Santiago Adames, Saturnino Sanchez Suarez, Uladislao Abreu Duran, Benito Rodriguez Nolasco, Rafael Cuesta Agramonte, Tomasina Isabel Araujo, Adolfina Bocio Montero, Juliana Agramonte Cespedes, Fernando Antonio Fernandez Mateo, Andres Diaz Mena, Salvador Andres Torres Manzueta, Mayra Josefina Quezada Castro, Maribel Cuello Diaz, Arelis Martinez Arias, Justo Manuel Valdez Abreu, Agustin Maria Ventura Rodriguez, Milton Elias Pereyra Ramirez, Jose del Carmen Encarnacion, Margarita Ramirez Adames, Maria Varenisa Pereyra Javier; Orlando Heriberto Santos Matias, Felix Julian Estrella Mejia, Aure Ricardo Florentino Garcia and Ramon Alberto Cabral de la Cruz.
