Ito Bisono is the only PRSC deputy elected in the National District and Santo Domingo Province in the May 16 midterm elections. He received 8,579 votes according to Diario Libre. In the previous elections, Bisono was the most voted for PRSC deputy in the capital city. This time he received more than double the number of votes he received in 2000.
