Sosua is so small, at least the El Batey area, that you (well if you are under 50 and 250 lbs) can walk it in about 10-15 minutes, seriously it's about 1/2 mile wide by 1/4 mile "tall". You will see all the places with a short walk.

Pedro Clisante - Main Drag
Cigar Bar - at corner or Dr. Rosen/Pedro Clisante
El Flow - great afternoon drinking and cheap drinks
Latino's Disco - good music, hot bartenders, really gets going around 11PM
Bar Central - alternative/classic rock music, nice place to post and watch ppl.
Classico Disco - good music, largest collection of working girls, rocks 11 - 2
Club X - right across street, starts up at 2AM, late late crowd, mixed bag

"Europa End of Pedro Clisante"
4 Roses, bar next to it, and one across the street, laid back, several working girls. Nice place to drink with less of the girls approaching, etc.

A bit further down is LaPassions - can't be missed, best after 3PM. Pick a menu item and brace yourself. They now have "The Swing"

A bit further down is Fred's Place called Cuba Libre. Great place to get shit faced on 45 peso Cuba Libre's, and if you check the posts, the girls are available - 500 peso salida - or Fred also has 3 massage rooms and 3 freaky freaky rooms.

This should get you started, other than that, you should hook up with a veteran and seek out off the path spots, of which there are plenty.

You can buy La Pela or Elevex (both generic cialis) without a prescription at any farmacia. I prefer Elevex myself.

Originally when La Pela first came out, it worked just fine. Later it seemed to be less effective. This was the consensus of both myself and several other amigos. We then tried Elevex (which is the same color and shape of the original Cialis) and found it worked just fine. It's the same price as La Pela at 50 pesos per pill.

Music aficionados can't miss El Flow. Typico, bachata, salsa, merengue and romantica played real loud night & day for a nice local crowd and some gringos. I'd be VERY CAREFUL of taking double doses, or any milligrams until you know EXACTLY what you need. These pills can be dangerous.

I take Rize2, which I used to get on E-Bay, but now have to google it under Shopping Search to find it. Its about 30 tablets for around $100US. I haven't found another pill that works like it, and without the headaches, etc. I'm mid 40's, and my problem is with normal sex, I lose erection. I can only maintain one through the entirety of the experience is some really kinky nasty shit is about to happen, or she's just a dirty little tramp.

I've also found that I lose a bit of weight with it as well - which is like a leaf off of a tree - but taking one every other day, or every second day seems to do the trick. LaPella and Elevex are the same thing as the original pill in the US called Cialis...it does
not come as a 100 mg pill(that's Viagra)...only as 2.5, 5, 10, 20 mg. As stated earlier in this thread the 2.5, and 5 mg pills are intended for daily low dosage use(they are fairly new on the market) and the other ones(10 and 20mg) for time-of use consumption. In the DR the LaPella and Elevex come only in the 20mg dosage as this is the most common dosage used. That is what I use too with a 24-36 hr duration.

Viagra comes in a 100mg pill and may be cut in half or whatever amount works for you.
These are readily available in all pharmacies in the DR as well as many other venues.
You can get the actual original Viagra by brand name but you will pay close to what they cost here in the US... but there are several generics in the DR that look the same(blue diamond shape) but are 50 pesos per pill and work just the same. I have tried them all and they all work equally well.

I agree with Choirboy that the newer Elevex works better than the older LaPella.(These are the same as Cialis and ONLY come as 20 mg pills) This dosage is the recommended dosage and is sufficient. Taking more than this at one time for most people often causes some serious muscle pain especially in the hips and legs. Taking 100 mg of this medication(Cialis) might kill you wheras 100mg of Viagra is fine although some folks get good results with one half a 100mg tab of Viagra. Just have to experiment to find your level but unless you have serious heart problems 100mg won't hurt you at all and you will definitely get hard like a teenager.

I strongly suggest you try "lapela" first, and take only the recommended dosage. Try to limit your intake of alcohol.

LaPela can be purchased OTC in any local pharmacy.

I tried LaPella for the first time on this past trip and it worked great, I have always been a V-pill fan and can tell you the differance I found:

The V-pill last a few hours which has always been plenty, I even wake to wood the next morning..it also seems to make me more RIGID than LaPella.

LaPella on the other hand was better for long term 36 hour usage..Takes away the "worry" that you wont perform (with me its from TOO MANY SESSIONS) anytime you want..Morning session, afternoon or night.
It works and does the job but you get more RIGID with V.

As for the ED drugs you are right. I never touched them until I spoke to my doctor about it first. He prescibed them and them I bought some cheaper generics in other countries.

You are in a perfect spot. NG is not more that 2-3 minutes walk from all the clubs on the strip. Its on a little side road. It is actually right behind the strip. LP is maybe a 10 minute walk. The same as the beach. Don't worry. You are staying at the right place. Have fun and take lots of pics and share them with us when you get back.

I was almost going to book with Travel Adult Vacations (1900$ five nights in their own all inclusive little hotel near Santo Domingo) , but I like the hunting and the fun of exploring :) Money wise: with my stay in a jacuzzi room ($79 per night) I till have $60 per day for food and drinks and $300 per day for girls, if I add that up I get to the same $1900

From what I am reading, I could have a lot of fun in Sosua for that money. Their price at TAV was not bad though, a lot less than the next one up: AlexisClub.com who has stunning girls and would charge 3200$ for the same trip (one girl 24/7 a new one every day). I was tempted by the pictures, but he had some negative publicity, though I dont know that directly. Any one had experience with them? I did a search on this board and nothing came up...

He just posted the new prices on his site under files, go there, and he indicates there is no negotiation, although some will have you believe otherwise. Again some prefer Passions, because they don't like to negotiate, and feel it is a safer way of going, no fear of chica stealing from you etc., and if there is a problem a place to go to complain. If you find a chica off the street on in a club, you don't have those types of guarantees. It is whatever floats your boat, that's the great thing about Sosua, a little of this and little of that.

By the way just so you know the prices that guys are quoting, are just guidelines, don't get too caught up with that, although it is a good guide (and you should thrive to achieve those prices, but if you don't, don't get bent out of shape). The reason I say this, is that the guys that negotiate those prices may be more experienced and the chicas may give them more latitude, than a green newbie, and yes they can smell a newbie a mile away.
