Danny Richar drove in the winning run and pushed the Tigres del Licey closer to qualifying for the final playoffs. The Tigres defeated the Toros del Este by a score of 3-2 at a packed Francisco Micheli Stadium in La Romana.
The victory gives the Tigres a one-game advantage over the Toros.
Meanwhile, in the Julian Javier Stadium, history once again repeated itself as the Aguilas Cibaenas lost a 4-0 lead to the Gigantes del Cibao, finally losing the game 8-4. The Gigantes remain in first place, a half a game over the Tigres del Licey and a game and a half over the Toros del Este.
