Hey guys. This is my first post, but I have read your threads for some time now preparing myself for an upcoming trip (kudos...this is an amazing site!). I realized that most of the post are a little old. Can someone give me an update as to what is the best hotel for cheap rates and lots of girls? Also close enough to the action.

Or better yet, will anybody be there on March 10-16? I would like to meet up and hit the town. It would suck to go solo. This is my first time mongering. Would appreciate some guidance. Thanks...

Garce,

What city are you planning to go too? I assume you are going to Sosua. Do a search for The New Garden and Sea Breeze. I am sure they will satisfy your needs and are close to the action (2 -3 blocks).

There are a dozen, sometimes two dozen ISOC in Sosua alone.

Just pay for trip report access and you have about a weeks worth of reading, as new as last week.

Yes I just bought it. I will be arriving in the afternoon. I decided to reserve a room in the Seabreeze but reserved in a few others just in case i get bumped. Hope it works out.

My advice to you is not to worry about a thing. Before my first trip I was worried about a lot of things and once I got there, well, the first thing I thought when I saw the town was "what in the fuck is this?". Once I checked into Europa, I took a walk around town and found out that everything was close by and that I liked where I was a lot.
Go to Classico around 11 PM, pay the 100 pesos, go up and get your beer and once the music starts, start to move your body. You don't know how to dance? Who cares, just have fun.

I'm flying from NC and arriving in Santiago. Plan to take a cab or something to sosua....also upon further investigation I realized that there is a 1am curfew in Sosua? This is bad, I'm an insomniac. Is there really no place opened after 1?

The discos are open till two and three I believe. Assuming you stay out until then I am sure you and a chica can figure out something to do until you are ready to sleep. After 1-2 days in town you will have no problem sleeping lol.

If you havent booked your flight yet look at flying from NC to Puerto Plata (POP). It will save you close to $100 in rounbtrip cab fare.

Also, everything you need is a few blocks away from your hotel. And most stuff that you will want is all on the same long block. Everything else is right off of that main block. You will get your bearings really fast.

These were the reports that got me hooked:

...and as MOSHY2K says change that arrival to POP; it will save alot of time and money.

I took my first trip solo last year.

No experience of the seabreeze hotel , I stayed at the New Garden and cant recommend it highly enough. Staff are friendly and efficient , patrons are like minded individuals always open for a chat. I made many new friends there.

Just read the trip reports they have an absolute wealth of info for the newbie. I spent many days reading and preparing. Walk around and take time to explore Sosua by yourself , I regret not doing that more but will next time.

Ohh and learn Spanish..it will improve your experience.

Spend your first night in Santiago (my favorite place)

Hotels I recommend

Aloha Sol
Matum Hotel and Casino

Get a cab to take you to Pasion's (after 10pm) they have girls there during the afternoon too, but I suggest going late for the best chicas.

Forget the $80 cab ride to Sosua, hop on Caribe Tours bus $10 to Sosua, then take a cab to New Garden or Sea Breeze, then I'm sure you will find your way around ok.

Pay the chicas between 1500-2000 for short time, 2500-3000 for all night TLN. You should be cool within that range

Have fun, take pics and don't be a sucker for love.

That ride from STI sucks...its like 2 1/2hrs im happy jet blue flies direct to POP...I'll be down there for a short stay btwn the 12 & 16th. If u change ur mind about where youre going to lay ur head...i would recommend NG.

6wks to go!!

And guys complain when their supposedly "reserved" room has been given to someone else. If we fuck the hotel owners about like this they will do the same to us and reservations will mean nothing.
