I've rented from Adventure on my last 8 trips or so and never had a problem until my last trip. I was way over charged, normally when you make a reservation on their website, you receive a confirmation email with the price on it. Well last time I did not receive that email so I emailed again asking what happened and was told we have all your info however we are having a problem with the website. O.k. the Honda CRV was quoted on there website at $59.00 a day. That is what I always paid.

When I returned the car on my last trip they charged me $89.00 a day. I wasn't too happy and complained to Jason that what they did wasn't right. I also told him I would never rent from them again, as it was I was renting from them every 3 months. He told me he would work on something and call me. Well 2 days later when I was back in the U.S. he did call and say he worked out a $100.00 credit for me and the next rental would be at $49.00 a day.

This was only a few weeks ago January 17th is when I returned the car. To this day I still haven't seen the charge on my card. They never even charged me for the rental. I don't know what happened. Now here is my dilema, I am going to be back in the D.R. next week and need to rent a car. So I emailed them my reservation and again did not receive my confirmation email with the price.

What do I do now? Should I not bring it to their attention and rent from National?

O screw that! I would have disputed the charge on my credit card immediately. I would also not rent from until they refunded what they owe me.

Then I would always need a confirmation of price before renting from them in the future.

Sorry, fair is fair. You need to straighten out the no charge problem first. Show them you are a honest and respectable person.

At the same time, inform them you haven't received a confirmation of your reservation yet. Don't do it through the website, do it via email directly to the guy.

Always take the high road.

I would call Jason directly. Make sure he is still aware of the $100 credit and $49/day.

I would agree with you however they boned me on the price, overcharging me by $210.00 and I did email them about the new reservation and still have not heard back from them.

I've only been back 2 weeks and still haven't seen the charge on my card. Knowing how slow things are done down there, I'm sure that charge will show up on my card.
