The president of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), Jorge Subero Isa feels it is about time that the public had received already the official results of the May 16 midterm elections. Subero is a former Central Electoral Board judge. He asked the JCE to issue its ruling as soon as possible regarding the impeachments presented by political parties. When asked about the National District Court of Appeals decision to grant bail to Pedro Julio Goico Guerrero (Pepe) he said he respects the decision. "It has to do with the judges' jurisdiction," stated Subero. He spoke at the National Justice School where he was attending the opening of an event called "French Law and Justice 2006".
News reports indicate that as of yesterday, Goico was still at the Victoria jail as he was still pending to post bail.
