Several streets and avenues in Santo Domingo will remain closed to traffic from this Saturday at 6:00 am until the same time on Wednesday, 7 June, to facilitate transportation pertaining to the Organization of American States (OAS) General Assembly. Transit will be blocked on George Washington Avenue (Malecon) between Maximo Gomez to Abraham Lincoln Avenues, and on Independencia Avenue between Paseo de los Medicos St and Maximo Gomez. Alma Mater and Hipolito Irigoyen St will be closed between Correa y Cidron and the Malecon. Also closed to traffic will be Rafael Sanchez Ravelo St and Paseo de los Medicos St between Correa y Cidron and Independencia. These are access streets to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, located on the Malecon and Independencia, where sessions will take place.
