During a visit to the National Drug Control Department, the head of the US Drug Enforcement Administration for the Caribbean, Javier Pena said that drug trafficking in the Caribbean is a leading concern for the US government department. He added that they have special interest in dismantling the shipments of cocaine that are entering Puerto Rico via the DR to then be transported to Europe.
As reported in Listin Diario, Pena highlighted the efforts being made in the DR to fight drug trafficking.
