The Dominican Cardinal, Nicolas de Jesus Lopez Rodriguez, chastised the Central Electoral Board (JCE) for not "knowing how to count." The prelate also added that the JCE should be comprised of "serious people, because, from the looks of things, the current members are not very responsible." He said that there was just no excuse for the JCE not giving out the official results of the 16 may elections in a timely fashion. He cited the example of Peru, where the presidential election results were tabulated and released on the night of the elections.
