Once again the Central Electoral Board (JCE) has left things just as reported in Bulletin #18. After hours of tense waiting, the board, which had already put off the announcement for 24 hours, decreed that the results were now official. At 12:45am, the JCE confirmed that the PLD won the municipal elections in Santo Domingo Norte, Pedro Brand, Tenares, San Cristobal, and Hato Mayor. The JCE ruled that the PRSC/PRD alliance won in Los Alcarrizos, Cotui, Castanuela, Neiba, and Montecristi. However, the board did not say if it had completely ratified all the decisions contained in Bulletin #18. According to El Caribe, the JCE Disputes Chamber limited itself to reaffirming the results in La Romana, Polo, Villa Bisono, Oviedo, Santo Domingo, Las Salinas, Esperanza, San Ignacio de Sabaneta, Tenares, Las Yayas de Viajama, Peralvillo, Guerra, Monte Plata, Moca, Los Hidalgos and Bayaguana. The magistrates disallowed the rejection of the PRD/PRSC alliance in Las Matas de Farfan.
