The local authority, represented by the Mayor lic. Vladimir Céspedes and in collaboration with 'INFOTEP' (the institute for technical and professional training) has recently given a short course to all food sellers in Sosúa. The course taught the participants about hygiene and food preparation. The participants all sell food items such as ice cream, hamburgers, fish, baked bananas, roasted pork meat and fried chicken. The course was held in the conference room at the town hall. Afterwards the Mayor distributed certificates confirming that participants had completed the course.

I'll still get my oysters from my man by Domino Bar regardless of hygiene.

And i still remember back in 2004 when Jimmy turned me on to the fresh ice cream sold on the street. That was some of the best ice cream i've ever had.

That picture you have there of the fish being prepared on the beach, still some of the best fish out there and not expensive, just about every Sunday when the families are out there, I would make sure and stop and stock up on some fish to take home from those vendors. When I wanted fish, warm it up and enjoy.

All I can say was that's good eating.
