All the info you need is here. This is the best website for DR coverage by far. Read up first then ask specific questions about anything which remains unclear.

If you ask vague, generalised questions like "Where should I stay?" or "Where can I meet chicas?" you will not get a good response as guys have spent a lot of their time writing reports to already answer such questions.

Either now, or at some point before your trip, make sure you pay the small fee to join the "Picture Reports" section. You will recoup what you pay many times over in time- and money-saving tips acquired, plus you can enjoy some "interesting" pictures which will convince you that you have made the right choice of destination.
