A revision to Article 43 passed by the Constitutional Revisory Assembly, will give consumers the right to sue if they are injured as a result of sub-standard goods and services, marking a new chapter in the development of customer service in the DR. The bill, which was submitted by legislator Frank Martinez, also states that the government can be held responsible for lack of quality in water or energy services, for example.
