FENATRANO announces stoppage

The Fenatrano bus union has announced a 12-hour work stoppage on 6 May in protest at a supposed RD$100 million debt the government has with the freight-carrying sector. Fenatrano says that the workload of its drivers has decreased 65% and that many members have gone out of business. Fenatrado says it is also protesting "unfair" measures implemented by the government that limit the exchange of certain goods, including used clothing, at the Haitian border.
