Ever heard of a Dominican Trekkie? Well, Dominican actress Zoe Saldana might be the prettiest Trekkie you've ever seen and her performance as USS Enterprise Chief Communications Officer Nyota Uhura helped the film rake in US$72.5 million in its first weekend at the box office. Star Trek moved into first place and Saldana's role has once again catapulted her to into the spotlight as one of Hollywood's main up-and-coming young actresses.
