The Ministry of Culture and the National School of Dance will be hosting the First International Festival of Dance Academies July 4th through July 7th in the Manuel Rueda Hall of the School of Fine Arts. Participating in the event will be the National Ballet School of Cuba, the Ballet School of San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Ballet Theater School Teresa Carreno of Venezuela and the Una Young Dance Company from Costa Rica. Also participating will be international masters David Keneer from the United States and Maria de la Paz Alemany from Spain. Local groups will include the Ballet Concierto Dominicano, Conservatorio de Danza Alina Abreu, Ballet Studio, Ballet Teatro, Academia de Ballet Contempora, Academia de Ballet de Santiago, Ballet Roto, Articentro, Ballet Vanesa Angulo, Academia Ana Pavlova, Teatro Popular Danzante, Expresiones and Dancing Center, among others. During the festival there will be daily shows and master classes and conferences will be held.
